{"id":360,"date":"2018-06-18T13:16:36","date_gmt":"2018-06-18T13:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dl44.csl.toronto.edu\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2022-08-30T20:27:53","modified_gmt":"2022-08-31T00:27:53","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/security.csl.toronto.edu\/pscout\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">This site hosts versions of the Pscout Android Permission Mapping tool.\u00a0 Currently there are two versions.\u00a0 The original PScout was developed and published in 2012 by\u00a0Kathy Wain Yee Au, Yi Fan Zhou, Zhen Huang and <a href=\"https:\/\/security.csl.toronto.edu\">David Lie<\/a>.\u00a0 PScout II, a subsequent rewrite was done by Ding Zhu.\u00a0 The source code, research paper and permission datasets are availble below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Before this page was created, the PScout source code had been downloaded over 10K times and extended to be used in many following Android versions.  The extracted permission mappings had been downloaded over 60K times.
